This session aims to inform the audience about my experience with Open edX through my hands on experience building and running Indonesia's national MOOC platform named IndonesiaX. I'll be sharing my personal thoughts on how to approach learners coming from developing nations, including some insights into my home continent of Africa. I'll cover sub topics such as people and culture, developing education infrastructure, explaining why I believe MOOCs to be a new important resource for leaders in developing nations. This talk aims to spark more discussions about how to increase successful adoption of Open edX in the markets that need it.
